Hoopeston Police Explorers

The Hoopeston Police Department now has an active youth-oriented

criminal justice program called "Explorers".

Serving as another outreach program of the police department's Community Policing policy,

young adults ages 14 to 20 can join and see, first-hand, the career of law enforcement.

Typically members receive training and orientation in all areas of law enforcement

and criminal justice from highly trained police officers.

Motivated youths interested in a career in law enforcement can get a

"close-up and personal" look at this rewarding career.

Youths interested in joining the Hoopeston Police Department Explorers,

or just wanting information, can contact either Chief Drollinger or

Program Director Sgt Jim DeWitt at 283-5196 or admin@hoopestonpolice.org
